Jennian Homes Mothers Day Fun Run / WalkLocation: Bledisloe Park, Pukekohe | Event Type: Community Events
Dates:Sunday 14 May 2017 10:00 AM
In case you missed it the nationwide Jennian Homes Mother’s Day Fun Run/Walk is back in 2017 helping raise awareness for the number-one cause of death for women in New Zealand – heart disease.
Heart disease claims the lives of more than 50 women each week and this year’s highly anticipated event will see thousands of women nationwide get active and start the conversation about this alarming statistic.
Into its sixth year, the nationwide event – held across more than 20 locations – is part of an initiative run by Jennian Homes to support the Heart Foundation’s ‘Heart Foundation For Women’ campaign, which aims to improve the heart health of New Zealand women.
From Paihia to Invercargill, mothers, daughters, sisters or loved ones will take part in the 5km event, including a trio of Olympic athletes fronting the event: Natalie Rooney (shooting), Kayla Whitelock (hockey), and Nikki Hamblin (middle distance runner).
This includes the Franklin leg to be held in Pukekohe.
Is this something you would consider publishing on your events calendar and social media to alert people that ticket registrations are now open? The Facebook event links are as follows:
