Time to Recognise – Our People

Send an e-card to show their contribution has been valued, then if you wish, nominate them for a Sport Volunteer Award.

The 2012 Sport Volunteer Awards launched on 18 June! and Sport NZ have made it even easier to thank a volunteer making a difference to community sport.

Some 800,000 people volunteer in sport. For most, they do it for the love of their chosen sport and to give something back to the community. But a simple thanks goes a long way to ensuring they continue to give their time and energy to grassroots sport.

Visit www.sportnz.org.nz/volunteers to thank and nominate people in your region making a difference to community sport. Coaches, officials, committee members, kit washers, ball boys, fundraisers, worker-bees – they have all helped to keep community sport alive and well in Aotearoa in the last 12 months.

Three Sport Volunteer Awards will be awarded in each region with recipients receiving $250 of sport store vouchers.

E-cards and nominations can be sent until 28 August 2012.
