Applying for the fund

If your organisation is interested in applying for the Counties Manukau Sport Regional Partnership Fund (CMS RPF) you will need to complete an Application Form.

The Kiwisport Review Panel will consider all Applications received and advise applicants accordingly.

The closing dates for applications are 31 March and 30 September respectively.

Please send completed applications to sportd@cmsport.co.nz or post to KiwiSport Applications, Counties Manukau Sport, PO Box 88-130, Clendon, Manukau 2242.

The regional partnership fund (RPF) is designed to complement the KiwiSport Direct Fund by encouraging schools, clubs and community organisations to collaborate in increasing organised sport opportunities for school aged children.

Counties Manukau Sport will consider funding applications for projects which can ensure new or increased opportunities for school aged children to participate in organised sport at a community and regional level.

All applications must meet the national KiwiSport objectives:

  • More kids Increase the numbers of school age children participating in organised sport-during school, after school and by strengthening links with sports clubs
  • More opportunities Increase the availability and accessibility of sport opportunities for all school-aged children
  • Better skills Support children in developing skills that will enable them to participate effectively in sport at both primary and secondary level

In addition, applications to Counties Manukau Sport will also be considered against the following local criteria. This criteria was established from community consultation undertaken by Counties Manukau Sport in October 2009.

  • Free sport activities
  • Increase school-club links
  • Training of volunteers and parents
  • Increasing the number of coaches
  • Up-skilling of coaching
  • Localised sport to avoid travel issues

There will be two closing dates for applications throughout each year

  • 31 March
  • 30 September
