Activity Fund

The Halberg Trust Activity Fund provides grants to enable young disabled people to participate in inclusive sport and active leisure within their community.

The main goal is to support activities that are regular, ongoing, build skills and confidence, remove barriers and are fun!

The fund covers those costs over and above what it would cost for a non-disabled child to participate. The fund is to provide an introduction to community sport, recreation and physical activity in an inclusive environment that has a sustainable future.

Applications are welcomed from caregivers, parents, teachers and advocates on behalf of disabled children who are 18 years and under. The minimum age to apply for swimming lessons is 5 years old, however for all other applications the minimum is 8 years of age.

The Activity Fund is one example of the Trust’s commitment to getting more disabled people the opportunity to be more active, more often.
