CMS Primary Sport Co-ordinator for Manurewa
A Manukau resident for over 40 years, Sheryl has a teaching background and passion for sport.
Primary Sport is a great opportunity to combine teaching and sport, and develop the sporting potential of Manurewa.
Although she enjoys all sports, Sheryl's number one sport is hockey, and she is a keen coach and supporter of Southern Hockey Club in Papatoetoe, and the New Zealand Black Sticks.

CMS Primary Sport Co-ordinator for Manurewa
Opura Takatainga, born and bread in South Auckland, enjoys playing touch, cricket and indoor netball. He is a fanatical surfer and loves to get out as much as possible.
Having a passion for sport has seen Opura coach in the Manukau area for 15 years. Primary Sport allows him to use his experience in coaching to make a difference with children who otherwise would not get the opportunity.
Working as a coach through Primary Sport last year, enabled Opura to learn first-hand about what is involved and required to work alongside schools, families and clubs.
Primary Sport provides children with sporting experiences that not only children will enjoy but ultimately lead to a career in sport.
