The Southside Slam Basketball Event brings together raft of ex professional athletes, actors and local community heros for an action-packed day of fun—all for a great cause. Whether you're here to play, cheer or support - every three point shot, crossover dribble and 360 dunk will help raise funds for Counties Manukau Sport NEET Youth Mentoring Program.

Enjoy exciting matchups, live entertainment, food trucks and more as we come together to make a difference in our community. Bring your friends, your whanau, your energy and let's slam dunk for charity!

The concept of this event is to promote Active Whanau in a fun and family friendly environment, and also to give whanau the opportunity to "give it a go". This event is targeted at 4-13 year olds, and each child must register with an adult. This event will be held at Massey Park utilising the Pool and Running track. The bike component of this event will utilize the footpath around the park. There will be prizes at the end and we hope to have ex All Blacks Rugby star & Papakura Local Board member Keven Mealamu there. We have partnered with the Papakura Local Board and Painga Project to run this event.​​​​​​​

Dust off your Christmas costumes and get dressed up, as there will be spot prizes!!Limited Santa hats will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Counties Manukau Sport and Young Guns Skate School are bringing the Skateboarding "Have a Go" Programme back for Term 1! 

​​​​​​​Together with Young Guns Skate School, we have created a FREE Skateboarding "Have a Go" Programme which is targeted at 8 – 14-year-olds. This event has been created to promote safe skateboarding in a fun, learning environment.

Plenty of fun, sun and summer vibes to be had by all, while shooting hoops with your friends and whanau.

Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the game, this is your chance to shine under the neon lights and embrace the thrill of competition in a fun and supportive atmosphere.

When: Saturday 4th May

Where: Allan Brewster Leisure Centre, 7 Tavern Lane, Papatoetoe. 

Time: Primary Age (Years 3-6) 1.00pm - 2.30pm            Intermediate Age (Years 7-8) 3.00pm - 4.30pm

Enter as a team (Max 5) or as an indivdual and we will place you in a team.
