Our team headed out to Pohutukawa Coast for our holiday programme and it did not disappoint. We were joined by an excited bunch aging from 9 - 14 years, all who had done this track before but thought it would be a great way to get off the devices and get some sunshine. 

Some of our riders shared their stories of where they've just come from (Kayaking, talk about emptying the tank) and others, where they're going. We had a future Black Fern, aero-engineer, vet and some who just want to continue mountain bike riding. 

We intially had a 1.5KM track set, but once we reached our destination, the crew still had more juice to go a little further. So from Te Puru park, we made it all the way past Omana Esplanade to Maraetai beach, how beautiful the scenery was, so much so we forgot we were in the busy city of Auckland. 

If there is one walk or cycle you need to do, it is this. With pathways wide enough to share with others, the parks along the way make it an easy one to take the little ones too.
